Add an Additional Role to an Entity

Overview

Process

To Add an Entity Role:

1. Access the entity record by clicking on the entity name. See Search for an Entity.
2. Click Add New Role.

3. Select the role to be added from the Add New Role dropdown list.
4. Click Add to add the role or Cancel to discard it.

Result

The new role has been added to the entity. Though most roles are immediately active, Carrier roles are created in an Inactive status. A Transportation Mode must be assigned to the carrier before it can be activated for use. See Add a Transportation Mode and Edit the Status of an Entity Role for details.
