Edit the Status of an Entity Role
Overview
When Should I Edit an Entity Status?
When the entity's status has changed; for example, an entity that is no longer being used as a BillTo would have its status changed from active to inactive.
The ability to change the status of Carrier entities is restricted to Procurement users.
Process
To Edit An Entity Role Status:
- Open the specific entity role to be edited. See Search for an Entity.
- Click Details.
- Click the status indicator. In the example below, the status is Active.
- Select the new status from the menu; in the example, Inactive is selected.
If changing the status of a Carrier entity, the user will also need to complete the following steps. If an error is made when entering the comments, they may be edited. See To Edit A Carrier Entity Comment below.
- In the Comments Window, enter the reason for changing the carrier's status.
- Click Save Comments to change the status of the carrier entity or click Cancel Changes to cancel all changes.
To Edit A Carrier Entity Comment
- Click Edit.
- Enter any changes to the comment. The comments field can hold up to 500 characters.
- Click Update to save the changes or Cancel to exit without saving. Once saved, Status Modified Details will reflect the time and date of the update as well as the name of the user that edited the comments.
Result
The status is changed. The entity is saved automatically.
