Edit and Re-tender a Load

Overview

A load may need to be edited to correct such information as the segments or the carrier. Depending upon the changes made, the carrier may need to be notified via a modified tender that the details of the load have changed.

If available, changes made to a load's delivery from date and time will be automatically communicated via EDI to the customer as long as the load is not in closed, cancelled, or delivered status.

If the load has not yet been tendered and the carrier has indicated they are ready to accept a tender (see Tender a Load Manually for more scenarios,) click Save & Tender Load when you are finished making edits. Otherwise, Optimiz automatically tenders the load at 11:00 a.m. the day before pickup.

If the load has already been tendered, the load will need to be re-tendered if the changes affect the carrier in any way. This may include changes to the locations or times for any of the stops or segments, or changing the carrier. Other changes, such as the addition of a carrier pro number or other reference, do not require the load to be re-tendered.

Optimiz automatically tenders a load to a secondary carrier (for logistics plans only) when the primary carrier rejects their tender or does not accept within the available time window. Optimiz then removes the primary carrier cost rate details and assigns the secondary carrier costs automatically. Optimiz also applies the carrier reason "Carrier rejected tender" to the cost details for the secondary carrier.

Process

To Edit a Load:

  1. Search for the load to be edited. See Search for Active Loads for details.
  2. Click the Load ID number.

The Load Edit page opens.

  1. Complete any required changes. See the Build a One Time Load section of help for more information.
  2. Click Save Load to save without tendering, Save & Tender Load to save and tender if the changes made affect the carrier, or Cancel Changes to undo any changes made to the load.

Result

The changes are saved, and the carrier receives a modified tender.
