Add or Edit a Carrier Pro Number

Overview

A carrier pro number is a number used by carriers as a reference for ProTrans shipments. Users can add a pro number to a shipment or edit an existing number in Dock Planning.

Prerequisites

Before you can add or edit a pro number, you must:

• Log in to Optimiz. See Log In to Optimiz
• Access Dock Planning. See Access Dock Planning.

Process

To Add a Pro Number:

1. Search for the shipment. See Search for Shipments.

2. Click Carrier Pro. The Carrier Pro link may be on the far right of the search grid depending on the user configuration.

The Pro Number dialog box opens.

3. Enter the Carrier Pro number.
4. Click Add to add the number or Clear to remove the entry.

To Edit a Pro Number:

1. Perform steps 1 - 3 above.
2. Click Edit.

3. Make any changes necessary.
4. Click Update to save the changes or Cancel to exit without saving.

Result

The carrier pro number is associated to the shipment.
