Add an Equipment Type

To Add an Equipment Type

1. Click + Add new record from the Equipment Types dialog box.

The Create New Equipment dialog box displays.

2. Enter the Equipment Type Name (required).
3. Enter the Type ID (required).
4. Enter the Group ID (required).
5. Enter the EDI Description Code, if needed. More than one EDI Description code can be entered if they are separated by a comma (optional).
6. To make it active in Optimiz, select Active from the Status menu.
7. Enter the Max Weight in pounds (required).
8. Select the Dimensions Type and enter the default dimensions for the handling unit.
9. Click Save Equipment Type.
