Add or Remove a GPS Tracking Device

Overview

Prerequisites

Before you can add a GPS tracking device to a trailer:

• The tracking device must be set up and activated in Device Management.

Process

To Add a GPS Tracking Device to a Trailer:

1. Access Load/Unload. See Load or Unload a Trailer for details.
2. Scan or enter the barcode on the tracking device in Handling Unit.
3. Scan or enter the trailer number in Trailer.
4. Tap the + button. This is performed automatically when using the scanner.

To Remove a GPS Tracking Device from a Trailer:

1. Access Load/Unload. See Load or Unload a Trailer for details.
2. Scan or enter the barcode on the tracking device in Handling Unit.
3. Scan or enter a location barcode other than a trailer in Trailer.
4. Tap the + button. This is performed automatically when using the scanner.

Result

The GPS tracking device is associated with or removed from the load. The location of the load will be updated every fifteen minutes.
