Service Recovery

Overview

When normal transit operations are interrupted, delivery time may be affected. Interrupted loads should be put into a Service Recovery state. For example, a manufacturing facility expects to receive a shipment at a specified time. If the shipment does not arrive on time, operations may stop. While the shipment is in-transit, the truck transporting it breaks down and is unable to recover.

When a load is in a Service Recovery state, the ProTrans Freight Management Group works to keep the freight moving by finding a new carrier that is able to continue transporting the shipment.
