Expedite a Load
Overview
When on-time delivery is critical to uninterrupted operations at a plant, a load is placed in Expedite mode. For example, a manufacturing facility expects to receive a shipment at a specified time. If the shipment does not arrive on time, operations may stop. Because continued operations are dependent on timely arrival, the load should be placed in an Expedite state.
When a load is in an Expedite state, the ProTrans Freight Management Group works with a network of carriers to move the freight quickly. ProTrans charges an additional fee to expedite loads.
Process
To Activate the Expedite Indicator:
- Select the load.
- Click the Expedite icon to activate it.
Result
The Expedite icon is gray when inactive and colorful when active. To deactivate the Expedite indicator, click the icon.
