Manage Shipments on a Logistics Plan

Overview

A shipment is freight which ProTrans transports from one location to another. Shipments are physically delivered as a part of loads through the use of our contracted carrier companies. A load is generally defined as the vehicle that is carrying the shipment. A load (either one time or repeating loads from a logistics plan) can be comprised of a single shipment or multiple shipments. These shipments can go to one location or multiple locations.
