Add Hub and Carrier Assignment

Overview

Only Superusers make this assignment. It refers to the Operational Hubs that default based on the geographic location of shipment origins. If the Carrier is left blank, Optimiz will perform a least-cost carrier lookup when shipments using the geographic location are created.

To Add a Hub and Carrier Assignment:

1. Open the Hub and Carrier Assignments page in Settings. See Overview.
2. Click Add new record.

3. Select a Trans Mode from the dropdown.
4. Select a Shipment Type from the dropdown.
5. Select a Country.
6. Select an Origin/Area Type (State/Province, zip code).
7. Enter a Value (state/province, zip code or postal code); you must select from the generated list.
8. Search for and select a Carrier, if needed.
9. Search for and select an Alternate Pickup Carrier, if needed.
10. Search for and select a Hub.
11. Click Save to save the record or Cancel to discard it.
