Set Up a Load with TI Latina

Overview

TI Latina is a ProTrans provider that translates GPS geolocations into Optimiz check calls to automate load updates.

To be able to track a load with TI Latina, it is necessary to manually link an specific load to the specific transport unit or truck of the carrier.

Tracking a load using TI Latina allows TI Latina Tracking Status to be updated automatically, providing real-time tracking of a load's location.

Prerequisites

  • The Tracking Method for the selected carrier must be TI Latina. You can find this information in the GPS/Tracking Methods column in the Load Management search grid.

  • Users must have access to the GPS Identifier Number or tracking unit (trailer number, truck number, truck license plate, or all) to create the tracking order in TI Latina.

Process

To Set Up a Load With TI Latina:

  1. Search for the load in Load Management. See Search for Active Loads for details.
  1. Click the link in the GPS/Tracking Method column in the search results grid.

  1. Enter the Tracking Unit #. This data is the transport unit assigned by the carrier to the specific load and must match exactly with the GPS naming convention used by the carrier.
  2. Enter the Track Interval. This is the time interval in which TI Latina should send the updates to Optimiz. The time interval should be 15 minutes for BMW loads and 120 minutes for any other load.
  3. Enter the End Tracking Date. This is the same date marked by the load as "Delivery Date" that is also found in Load Management.
  1. Click Track by TI Latina.

NOTE:Once the load is linked to a tracking unit, it is mandatory to fill the Arrival Check Call manually, since Tracking a Load using TI Latina only adds In Transit check calls. Even when the tracking unit is linked to a load, automated tracking will not start until the Arrival Check Call is completed.

Result

The status obtained through TI Latina Tracking will complete an extra In Transit Check Call and it will be shown in the Check Call column in the Load Management results grid. In addition, the info obtained from TI Latina will update the Event History at a Load level.
