Responding to Tenders

When an account is created, the ProTrans Procurement department works with each carrier to define an acceptable amount of time to respond to tender requests. The count begins from the time the tender request is sent by Optimiz to the carrier. If the carrier fails to respond to a tender within the allotted time, Optimiz automatically rejects the tender. The most common response time is within 2 hours.

Some carriers are set to automatically accept tenders via the Carrier Portal or EDI. If you haven't made these arrangements, you need to manually accept or reject each individual tender through the Carrier Portal.

If more time is required to respond to tender requests, contact ProTrans Procurement (US and Canada - lyncprocurement@protrans.com, Mexico - MXProcurement@protrans.com).
If you miss the time window to respond to a tender, contact your ProTrans route manager immediately. If possible, your route manager may reissue the tender.
